SPECTACULAR EVENT, DEDICATED TO JIVAN GASPARYAN’S ANNIVERSARY
 The spectacular event, honoring Jivan Gasparyan's illustrious career will take place in Pasadena on September 28. The highly entertaining program includes nearly 350 artists: Razmik Mansourian, Flora Martirosian, Merujan Margarian, Artashes Avetian, Nersik Ispirian, Harout Hakobian, Armen Hovhanessian, Krassimir, Daniel Decker, Rima Karapetian, Adis, Anahit Nersisyan. Dancers of the Gevorkian Dance Academy and the Karavan Dance Ensemble will also embellish the stage with their talent. The concert is organized by the Armenian-American Union of Theatre and Music, founded 45 years ago in Los-Angeles.
THE CONCERTS OF JIVAN GASPARYAN TOOK PLACE IN TURKEY
 Two concerts with the motto “Two More Steps for The Peace in The World” took place in Ankara and Istanbul, where the world known master with his play on duduk Jivan Gasparyan took part in it. The invitation was sent from the Ministry of Culture of Turkey. “It’s the fifth time that I give concerts in Turkey. There were representatives of other nationalities among 6000 members of the audience except Turkish and Armenians. They all received me and my art warmly”, - Jivan Gasparyan said during his press-conference in Yerevan. By the musicians’ words, he was received very warmly in Turkey, which made him stay in that country six days instead of planned three. “The concerts consisted of three parts. Turkish saz player Yavuz Bingel performed in the first part, I performed in the second part and then we performed together by the public request in the third part. The audience was applauding standing up after the concert. I think that these concerts will have their influence on strengthening friendly relations”, - Jivan Gasparyan said. The works of Sayat Nova, Komitas, M. Ekmapyan and also some ancient Armenian songs were performed in the program of the concerts. Gasparyan dedicated one of his songs to the murdered editor of the “Agoss” newspaper Hrant Dink.
THE CONCERT OF JIVAN GASPARYAN IN KREMLIN
 The only concert of Jivan Gasparyan with the State Academic Chamber Orchestra of Russia took place in Moscow, at the State Kremlin Palace with a great success at December 4, 2006. National Armenian music, national Russian melodies, “Adagio” Albinioni, fantasies on the theme of the “Deep Purple” band, the music from the movie “Night Patrol” and many other works were performed in the concert. The arrangement of the most famous and loved Armenian national melodies written for duduk performed with the symphonic orchestra were written by the outstanding musicians and arrangers specially for this concert. The concert became a momentous event in the musical life of the Russian Federation and another remembered celebration of duduk, presented to the public by unsurpassed master Jivan Gasparyan.
JIVAN GASPARYAN IS PRESENTED AT “GRAMMY” AWARDS
 Jivan Gasparyan was nominated for the 49th National academy of sound recording of the USA “GRAMMY”. The master was nominated at the award receipt with an Iranian musician Hussein Elizade together with a performer on shurangize in the nomination “Traditional World Music” award for a joint CD “Endless Vision “. This CD is a record of a joint concert of the musician that took place in the summer 2003 in Tehran. That concert program consisting of traditional Persian and Armenian melodies and songs was recorded on a CD and was released with a label “World Village”. The firm attached a stamp to it defining its genre as “Armenian folklore”. Jivan Gasparyan became the first Armenian who was nominated for “GRAMMY”.
